The House
This simple shed was formerly used for cattle before it was skillfully renovated by its owner in 2016. Pinewood beams and old dry-stone walls are mixed with modern architectural elements in exposed concrete, like the artful stairway, which builds the centre piece of the building. Floor to ceiling windows in pine allow you to be in nature, regardless of the weather.
A few furniture pieces, from design classics to locally crafted carpenter works, create an uncluttered and inviting interior.
Alvaneu Hideaway hosts up to six people in three bedrooms and is an idyllic holiday home for a family. Its convenient size of 150m2 offers enough space to retreat without compromising on cosiness and comfort.

Quiet Season Pleasures
Set on approximately 1000 meters above sea level, it’s the ideal base for activities all year round. World class ski resorts are easily reached by car (Lenzerheide/Arosa 20 min, Davos 30 min). The famous sledge run Bergün – the blocked Albula road route – is a must-do when you’re visiting in winter. It’s just a 15 minute train ride away and fun for the whole family (be sure to wear a helmet as it’s gets very speedy and icy!). Winter months stretch from December to end of March and are generally cold around freezing point, November and April are full of surprises; snow fall, rain or warm with sunny t-shirt weather. May - October can be moderate with pleasant temperatures at daytime and cooler nights. Summer days are ideal for longer hikes and mountain bike trails. Enjoy the nearby golf course Alvaneu Bad with 18 holes or the Sulfur Thermal Bath; they’re both only a short walk away.
Go Slow
Wrap cold hands around mugs filled with delicious Swiss hot chocolate. Watch the iconic pretty red train of the Rhätische Bahn snake through the valley. Enjoy skiing at a slower pace and boost your fitness on the cross-country ski trail right in front of the house. Stretch out on the terrace after working on your handicap on the golf course nearby. Soak sore muscles in the jacuzzi and gaze at the magnificent mountain view from the master bedroom.
